Argentina might have absolutely smashed Bolivia the other day by a big margin of 5 goals

Argentina might have absolutely smashed Bolivia the other day by a big margin of 5 goals, but, if their manager Gerardo Martino is to be believed, the performance of the team was not perfect and it needs to get better considering the kind of opponents that are waiting in line in the near future.

Copa America is just about to start and Argentina enters it as one of the favourites, but, according to Martino, the challenge is tough as the other teams that are there in the tournament, they all possess quality.

Speaking post the Bolivia game, Martino said, “The level of competition in Copa America will be high. There are a number of good teams and we must play better than how we played today.”

“However, I don’t believe in going too much into the performances in the friendly games. You are always a little circumspect about not injuring yourself. You don’t go all out. However, we won 5-0 which is always a big confidence booster, winning by that much.”

“I think we are in good shape ahead of the tournament (Copa America), but, so are the other teams and thus, we have to keep improving.”

The big names did the job for Argentina versus Bolivia as the Premier League superstars Sergio Aguero and Angel Di Maria shared all the 5 goals between them.

While, Aguero registered a hat trick, his maiden one in the international circuit, Di Maria found the net twice to make sure La Albiceleste thumped the opposition nicely.

The first team that Argentina will be facing in the upcoming Copa America will be Paraguay.

That match will take place on 13th June at Estadio La Portada, La Serena.

Argentina and Paraguay have been placed in Group B along with Uruguay and Jamaica.
