CAV BACK ON FORM

The Villarreal striker Fernando Cavenaghi has said that he is extremely delighted to get back to form. The Argentine striker managed to score one goal and create two others in the recent match against Alcorcón. Even though he has not been at his best in recent months for the Spanish club, Fernando Cavenaghi has said that he hopes that this match and a goal will prove to be the catalyst for him to go on and score more goals for the club. Villarreal were expected to challenge for an automatic promotion spot into the Spanish la Liga this season, but they have so far struggled.

They are currently in the play-offs position and the team will be having two more matches before the end of the year. Due to the fact that both matches will be away from home, Cavenaghi has said that it is extremely important that the team tries to take maximum points from these matches. The striker has scored just four goals in 15 matches for the club this season. He was instrumental in helping the Argentine club River Plate get back into the first division in the first instance last season. However, it looks like his current team Villarreal will have to be satisfied with the play-offs position.

“I am very happy for my return to the team. I felt really good and had a good afternoon. It was two months since I played. Came here to play and not being able to help and made me feel bad. Henceforth keep playing and hope that things go better than me. For this I have drawn strength with the help of my wife, and my own experience I have had in other teams. Know that I should never give up. Opportunity always come and seize you know,” said Cavenaghi.
