ON THE HUNT

River Plate continued their hunt for the promotion back into the top flight of Argentine football after keeping close touch with leaders Instituto after the latest round of Prim B Nacional matches.

River Plate were relegated from the top division of Argentine football following their poor season. They are looking to get back into the first division as soon as possible. Despite starting the second division strongly, they have been taken aback by the great form of Instituto, who currently lead the table. However, River Plate have managed to stay in touch with Instituto after securing a much anticipated win over Instituto.

As a result of this win, they have now reduced the gap at the top of the table to just one point. It was a very hard fought match, but River Plate came out on top in the match following a goal from former Juventus striker David Trezeguet.

The Frenchman has been one of the best signings for the club in this season, and he once again proved his worth in the match against Instituto. Less than 10 matches remain in the campaign, as River Plate look to secure promotion.

This win now means a lot to the club, as it has given them a real belief that they can catch Instituto at the top of the table. Had the visitors maintained their advantage over River Plate, the title would have been all but done and dusted. As it is, the online betting sites give both teams an even chance of winning the title, with River slim favourites on some of them!

Meanwhile, in the top division of the Argentine football, Boca Juniors continued their impressive run at the top of the table after yet another successful weekend. However, they could not extend their lead at the top of the table after managing only a 1-1 draw with Belgrano. Due to this to dropped two points, Newell’s Old Boys were able to catch and make some ground on Boca Juniors.

Boca coach Hernandez told http://betting.betfair.com/ that the side still have some work to do if they are to be remembered as one of the best in the clubs history.
