PANDIANI JOINS HIS SON

Villarreal recently secured the signing of the striker Walter Pandiani, who recently expressed his happiness of being able to join the club where his son also plays his football. The 36-year-old will be joining the team were his son, who is of 18 years of age, plays for the Villarreal C, which is where Juan Mata came through the ranks.

While Villarreal are playing in the second division of Spanish football after being relegated from the la Liga last season, the Villarreal C will be playing in the fourth division of Spanish football. Despite being in the Champions League group stages last season, the club had a very disappointing season and finished in the relegation zone last season.

As a result, the team that competed in the semifinals of the Champions League competition only a few seasons ago were relegated from the Spanish first division. In order to get back to the la Liga, the club have spent heavily on players who have experience of playing in the top flight. They recently secure the signing of the former River Plate striker Fernando Cavenaghi, who was recently released from the contract with the Argentine club. The 28-year-old is expected to be the main striker at the club in the forthcoming season.

“It is nice to be with your son, who curiously now is half my age. He is happy with the challenge of playing for this great club. A club this big does not deserve to be where it is. I want to add my grain of sand to bring it back to where it should never have left. I will give everything to defend these colours to the death. I hope to have a good season in front of fans who have also shown that they will keep supporting through bad times,” said Walter after sealing his move.
