Roig Happy With Europa League Spot

By claiming the 6th spot of the Spanish League Villareal earned their ticket for the Europa League of next season which was one of the primary targets that the club wanted to do and the president of Villareal, Fernando Roig expressed his delight about the position they secured as well as he went talking about the near future.

“The season has been extraordinary, for everything we have achieved in the sport and especially in terms of economical balance. It’s not easy to finish sixth in the best league in the world, whilst being the 40th or 50th in the Uefa ranking. As a whole, we consider the season excellent and are proud of the work that we have done’’.

‘’We are very happy for the team and as the goals have been met, it’s a team that has done things well. The key to the reinforcements is to fill in where we have less. What I am sure about is that the team will be better. Next season the vast majority of our players will have more experience.” The president of Villareal, Fernando Roig stated.

The head coach of the club, Marcelino Garcia does not want to fall behind in the summer transfer window and now that Villareal has earned their spot in the Europa League the Spanish side will have a tougher season when it starts in a few months.

Antonio Rukavina is a 30 years defender that Villareal attempted to sign last year but Valladolid rejected all the offers that was launched at him but this will not stop Villareal from trying it once more and they will take advantage of the clause in Rukavina’s contract which will allow the defender on making a move away from Valladolid on a free transfer after Valladolid suffered from being relegated
