CAN MALCOM GROW TO BE THE NEXT NEYMAR?

Two seasons ago there was so much noise about Brazilian winger Malcom.

Several top sides wanted him to join them but the player preferred to move to Ligue 1 side Bordeaux. Many questioned the motive behind moving to some side in southwest France that had not won the league title in over five years, especially when Arsenal, Man City and other big clubs were jostling for his nod.

The club has been quite a fertile ground for South American stars. Bordeaux has strategic partnerships with several top clubs and academies on the continent. ValetinVada, EmilianoSala and of course Juan Pablo Franca have benefited from this partnership.

Brazilians and Argentines like Mariano, Wendel, Fernando Cavenaghi, Jussie have all been brilliant at one point or the other for Bordeaux.

Malcom opted to join the tradition on the bank of his success at Corinthians. Wily Sagnol was in charge and he was keen on continuing with the trend of developing young players. Adam and Ounas and Malcom helped breathed spark into the team in his first year. Malcom has gone on to grow into an amazing player of the ball.

Malcom developed his versatility and offerings to a football team. He excels in the right wing and can feature centrally as well. The player promises something that could grow to something close to the Neymar level for the team.

If the player decides to exit the team this summer, there would be teeming admirers that would offer him a solid deal to join their ranks. Bordeaux are keen on keeping him so he can contribute more but with more and more clubs working up their interests in him, that could change. However, one thing Malcom needs is to strive to leave a mark like his namesake X.
